Academic system

The Academic System is divided into two modules: Junior and Senior Secondary School. The Junior Secondary School is made up of students from JSS 1 to JSS 3 between the ages of 10 – 13 years. Students in this category offer subjects like,

This is to enable them chose their career path at the senior school level. The Senior School Students have a choice to specialize in any of the three major areas of study offered, namely,
1.Sciences
2.Art
3.Commercial.

However, despite their area of specialization, they have a list of Compulsory subjects:

Student spend three years in the Junior Secondary School after which they sit for BECE and then move to the Senior Secondary School. After three years in the Senior Secondary School, students sit for the Senior School Certificate Examinations in the final year (WAEC & NECO) or the IGCSE

Curriculum

The school operates a wide range of curriculum, national and international. The national curriculum, British IGCSE and SAT curricula are operation in the school academic system.

Grading System

The grading system for both Junior and Senior Schools are different. The Junior School is graded according to NECO standard

  • 0 – 49 – Fail (F)
  • 50 – 59 – P
  • 60 – 79 – C
  • 80 – 100 – A

while the Senior School is graded according to the West African Examinations Council prescription.

  • 0 – 39 – F9
  • 40 – 44 – E8
  • 45 – 49 – D7
  • 50 – 54 – C6
  • 55 – 59 – C5
  • 60 – 64 – C4
  • 65 – 69 – B3
  • 70 – 74 – B2
  • 75 – 100 – A1
